Merylyn Blase Leus

Funeral services for Merylyn Blase Leus of Needville are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Immanuel Evangelical Church in Needville. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg, Texas. She was born on December 1, 1928 in Beasley, Texas to parents, William and Malinda Richter Blase. She graduated from Beasley High in 1946 and married Hayden Leus in 1948 and they had 53 years together. She enjoyed church services, teaching Sunday School, gardening, canning, dancing and last but not least, playing dominoes. She is preceded in death besides her parents and husband, brothers, Arthur, Herbert, Ervin, Raymond, Alvin, Melvin, and Alton Blase; sisters, Lydia Ludwig; Hilda Cole and Ester Blase; brothers-in-law, Norman Leus, Earl Leus, Albert Ludwig; sisters-in-law, Olga Blase, Earline Blase, Helen Blase; Thekla Blase Meinecke and Dorothy Blase. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Virgil and Elizabeth Leus; grandchildren, Hailey Volz and husband, Aaron, and Grant Leus; sisters-in-law, Jackie Leus and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorials may be made to the Memorial Funeral at Immanuel Evangelical Church, P.O. Box 505, Needville, Texas 77461. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2016 in State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Pallbearers will include Ray Blase, Harvey Ludwig, Gary Blase, Gerald Blase, Ronnie Blase, Carl Ludwig, Tom Reed, and Corey Christain.
