Sister Patricia Ann (Sister Mary Andrew at the time) was my 7th and 8th grade teacher at Landeck, Ohio Elementary from Sept. 1963 through May 1965. I will never forget her consoling nature at the time of the Kennedy assassination in Nov. 1963, followed in a few short months by her tolerance of our attempt to replace our grief with a headlong leap into all things Beatlemania. In the spring of 1965 she also took the time to coach me to a runner-up finish in the Allen County Spelling Bee at Wapakoneta High School. She was as fine a teacher as I have ever known, and beyond that an even better person.
