Ralph Mulberg Obituary

Published by Snyder Funeral Homes, Richardson Davis Chapel on Apr. 24, 2012.
Ralph Mulberg, 73, of Galion, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Harding Point Nursing Center in Marion. Born August 23, 1938 in Galion, he was the son of the late Albert and Edna (Shank) Mulberg. He attended both Miracle Meetings Church and Christ United Methodist Church in Galion. Ralph was a familiar face around Galion and was known by many for wearing orange outfits and walking around town pulling his wagon. He had his own window washing business for several years until health problems forced his retirement. At one time he was proud to participate in the Galion Jaycees which he loved to talk about. He walked to Washington, D.C. from Galion in the late 1970's to draw attention to his Ralph Mulberg Foundation to benefit the fight against Epilepsy, which he had for many years. Surviving are three cousins, Elizabeth (Stinehelfer) McHenry of Galion and Betty (Mulberg) Williams and Marjorie (Mulberg) Clark, both of Mt. Gilead and his friends and caregivers, Jean Roberts and Bonnie Hall, both of Galion. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Don Trigg officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Galion. Memorial contributions may be made to Richardson-Davis Funeral Home, 218 S. Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 to help defray funeral expenses.

I was born and raised in Galion and remember seeing Ralph riding his bike all over town. He was quiet but always so nice to everyone. The town will miss him very much and he will never be forgotten.

I will never forget Ralph. When our son was born nearly 25 years ago, Ralph presented him with a beautiful "Baby's first Bible". It is still treasured and always will be. Ralph was a shining example of Jesus and we have so many memories that make us smile. Rest with the angels Ralph. You will be missed.
