Richard C. Kremkow, 81, of Zionsville, died April 18, 2013. Mr. Kremkow was born July 3, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a graduate of Michigan State University, and received his Masters Degree from Eastern Michigan University. Mr. Kremkow dedicated his professional life to education having worked in several school districts in the greater Detroit area until his retirement in the late 1980's at which time he was serving as principal at Brandon High School in Ortonville, MI. He is survived by his wife, Joyce M. Heldman-Kremkow; his sons, Robert (Maggie) Kremkow and Brian (Amy) Kremkow; his daughter-in-law, Lisa Kremkow; 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; Joyce's children, Cindy (Doug)Young, Candy (Jeff) Berger; and Craig (Mary Kay) Heldman; and Joyce's 7 grandchildren;. He was preceded in death by first wife, JoAnne Bidwell Kremkow; his son, Gary; his parents, Walter and Edna Dittmer Kremkow; and his brothers, John Kremkow and Charles Kremkow. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to the American Heart Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville.
