Richard Earl Haukoos

Richard Earl Haukoos, age 78, of Albert Lea, MN., died at his home Monday, Nov. 25, 2019. A Private Celebration of Richard's life will be held Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells. Burial was in Walters Cemetery earlier in the week. Richard was born to Ruth and Earl "Tommy" Haukoos on December 27, 1940 in Freeborn County, MN. Richard was the father of 4 boys and divorced from his wives. He had been married to Judy and son Greg was born. He and his wife Barb had Ricky and Michael. Richard and Susan had son David. Richard loved being at home raising his pigeons, he and his close friends formed the Old School Jacobin Club. Richard also loved his cars, driving them and working on them, especially his '51 Mercury, and collecting antiques. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Ervin Gerber. He is survived by his sons: Greg Haukoos of Walters, Ricky (wife Georgia) Haukoos of Austin, MN, Michael Haukoos of Sioux Falls, SD, and David Haukoos of Seattle, WA; numerous grandchildren and their families. 1 sister Mary Gerber of Walters; 2 brothers: Dale (Donnell) of Albert Lea, MN and Paul (Nadine) of St. Peter, MN; along with several nieces, nephews and their families.
