You can know everything about a father by the children he raised. The Schaufenbils are great young men and women and that is all you need to know about Richard and Ruth. Greatness is often found in simplicity. Peace and blessings to his family.

Praying that the entire Schaufenbil family find comfort in knowing that Rick is finally reunited with his beloved bride, Ruthie. We remember so many good times with Rick and Ruthy; watching him play baseball, bowling with them, trips to the camp on Cold River, playing 45"s and always finding something to laugh about. The Red Sox will have heavenly help this year from a truly special guy. Peace and blessings to all of you.

My sincere sympathy to Rick's wonderful family. I witnessed the love and care they demonstrated during this difficult journey. My daughter in law Mary Ann and Son Michael amazed me with their unselfish care and compassion. Rick was more than a wonderful friend to me and my husband Bob, he was family. We will both miss him very much and feel honored to have known him.

For any person lucky enough to have met Popi can attest to his amazing character. His love for his wife, Ruth, should be mirrored by all men. He never put himself before anyone and his compassion for family is only something anyone can try to accomplish. He was the greatest grandfather to all his children and grandchildren. His beautiful smile could brighten any room. This world will never be the same. I love you so much Popi!
