Ron was my very first supervisor upon joining the Air Force and while being stationed at Carswell AFB, in Fort Worth TX.... He was a great influence and was directly responsible for my development as a young man as I was only 20yrs old at the time of the start of my military career... I will never forget when I went on my first TDY (temporary duty) to Hickam AFB, Hawaii when an Iranian ship fired on a Kuwaiti oil-tanker in the gulf... This incident put SAC forces on alert subsequently sending me to Hawaii to build a "temporary" photographic systems facility complete with a darkroom to test, inspect and maintain the camera systems for the three B-52 Stratofortress aircraft (D-models) that were deployed for that mission....During that time, Ron made sure that I was ready to deploy, ensured the logistics for the mission were set (parts, materials and supplies) and that my family was well taken care of during the deployment..... Thank you for being an instrumental part of my life and instilling good core values for a young man ...
You will always be remembered ... RIP

Sorry to hear of Ron's passing. He was a friend and I will always remember him dancing on Saturday nights at the Candy Kitchen to live "sock hop" bands here in Marshall. RIP old friend.
