Salvadore Joseph Pardo, Jr. passed away on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 11:11 a.m., after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 62 years old. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Carole Perigoni Pardo, mother, Juanita Pardo, children, Scott Pardo and Nicole Pardo, 2 grandchildren, Nicholas Gautreaux and Chase Pardo, siblings, Rosemary Vicari (Don), Susie Cureau (Louie), Corliss Artus (Bert), Juanita Cureau (Paul), Stephen Pardo (Lena), Terrie Mannina (late-Edward). He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Sheryleen Grothus and Sylvia Perigoni and a loving mother-in-law, Shirley Perigoni, father-in-law, Earl Perigoni as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a wonderful family of employees of Stingray's Restaurant. He was preceded in death by his father, Salvadore Joseph Pardo, Sr., sister, Stephanie Pardo, loving grandfather, Steve Pardo and grandmother, Rosa Pardo. He was a well-known restaurateur for over 30 years and the owner and operator of Stingray's Seafood Restaurant in Kenner, LA. He was known for his generosity, compassion and kindness throughout the community and was a stranger to no one. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time.
