Serene was born on November 20, 1939 and passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018. Serene was a resident of Little Marais, Minnesota at the time of passing. She graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1958, and was employed at Jacobson Hardware in Silver Bay for many years, where she was also deputy registrar. She is survived by her husband, Dale Wesala; daughter, Laurie (Doug) Shaffer; a son, Michael (Shanna) Dahle; grandchildren, Madeline, Taylor, Livia, Chayton, and Wyatt; a sister Anna (John) Myhr; and several nieces and nephews Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Friday August 17, 2018 at Baptism River Community Church in Finland. Memorial Service at the Baptism River Community Church at 11:00 AM on August 17, 2018.
