Sondra S. Wiezbiski, 76, of Plain City formerly of Zanesville passed away at her residence following a short illness on Tuesday July 21, 2015. She was born July 1, 1939 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Carlisle and Irene Helser Lewis. Sondra previously worked for Ohio Bell, Zanesville city schools as a librarian and secretary and Headstart as an administrator. Her family owned and operated the Pottery King and Pottery Queen. Sondra's husband Jim "Whiz" was principal of Zanesville High School for 14 years before his death in 2002. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, shopping and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Surviving Sondra is her daughter: Sheila S. "Susie" Wiezbiski of Reynoldsburg, son: James C. "JC" (Nancy) Wiezbiski of Huntersville, NC, grandchildren: Devra Pinsler, Jay, Austin, J.R., and Haley Wiezbiski, sister: Carolyn (Dan) Stephens of Plain City, brother: Carlisle (Dutch) Lewis of Zanesville, ½ sister: Sally (Len) Kostley of Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephew. Sondra was preceded in death by her parents and husband James "Wiz" Wiezbiski who died in 2002. Visitation for Sondra will be 10:00 AM till time of service at 12:00 Noon Saturday July 25, 2015 at Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave with Rev. Tony Maple officiating. Cremation will follow services. Memorial contributions in Sondra's memory may be made to American Heart Association.
