Theresia Merkli Obituary

Theresia was born on April 21, 1923 and passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018. Theresia was a resident of Mansfield, Ohio at the time of passing. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1pm with Rev. Gregory Hite officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

My condolences to the family and friends of this amazing lady... I will miss our chats and having her for a neighbor these last 6 years... I will miss her phone calls asking me to meet her outside so she could give me another of her home-baked goodies... but mostly i'll miss the friendship and fellowship we shared... Rest In Peace Mama T.

I was born next door to this beautiful person she treated us children like we were little angels and heaven knows, we where not anywhere being angels. We moved away after I was about three years old and move to the country kind of lost touch with Mrs. Merkli.

I was 47 years old when I move back to Mansfield Ohio and always thought I wonder if Mrs. Merkli still lives in the same house I knew that she went to church every Sunday and I started going as well when I move back here I kept asking the 7:30 AM parishioners if they knew Mrs. Merkli one day one of the pressure said hey Tony there is Mrs. Merkli I walked up to her and said hi how are you and asked her if she knew who I was and she told me I looked very familiar I told her my name and we were friends from that day forward I will forever miss this beautiful angel that God called to his side God bless your Mrs. Merkli I am certainly going to miss you.
