Virgil G. De Groote

Virgil was born on September 10, 1930 and passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015. Virgil was a resident of Ackley, Iowa at the time of his passing. He was married to Norita. Services: 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 15, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted by the Waterloo Amvets Post 19 and Evansdale Amvets Post 31. Public visitation from 3-7 P.M. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street where there will be a 6 P.M. vigil service. Visitation also one hour prior to services Monday at the church. Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice Virgil was an avid hunter and fisherman and retired to his beloved timberridge, his 140 acre timber farm and wildlife refuge.
