Dear Vonau Family,
My name is Kelly Bailer (Klimansky), and Walt and Nora lived next door to us on Beatrice Dr. in Columbus.
How sweet they were to me and my family. They came to my 1st birthday party, and I am 35 years old now.
I vividly remember my dad, Mike, borrowing tools from Walt; the two of them always working on something like battling the tree roots that were uprooting the sidewalk.
I remember Nora used to sit on blankets in the front yard with me and my mom & brother. She would give me banana popsicles, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Molly would be there too. I loved Molly.
What kind, sweet people they were. I'm very sorry for the loss of your darling Walt & Nora. How grateful I am to have had the opportunity to know them, even as a small child.
Kindly,
Kelly Bailer (Klimansky)

So sorry for the family's loss. The loss of a loved one can be very heartbreaking. May your treasured memories and the drawing close to God in prayer help comfort you in your time of sorrow. (Psalms 66:19,20)

Walter was deeply loved by our family, but especially by our daughter, Ellie. As a little girl she would sit in the window sill or at the front door waiting for Walter and Maggie to walk by. She would fly out the door and greet them both with hugs at the end of our driveway. Even as she got bigger she looked forward to them walking by, she would run down the driveway and make Maggie do all sorts of tricks before she would give her a treat. She loved chatting with Walter and would often finish his walk with him. I've never met a kinder, gentler soul than Walter's. When I told Ellie that he had passed she looked at me and said I am so so sad, but I'm also very happy. He was meant to be with Nora and Maggie. I'll never be able to express my gratitude for all the moments he shared with Ellie and with Matt and I.
