William was born on November 18, 1939 and passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016. William was a resident of Burlington, Kansas at the time of his passing. He was attent high school graduation. He served in the Air Force for 30 years until his retirement in 1992 as Chief Master Sergeant. He had received numerous medals and commendations including Meritorious Service Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters Air Force Commendation Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster Outstanding Unit Award with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster Good Conduct Medal with one Silver Oak Leaf Cluster and four Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters Vietnam Service Medal with one Silver Service Star RVN Gallantry Cross with Palm and numerous others. He was married to Teresa. Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday March 22 2016 at Graceland Cemetery in Burlington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Coffey County Cancer Support Group and may be sent in care of Jones Funeral Home PO Box 277 Burlington KS 66839.
