William Langrum Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 9, 2013.
William Paul Langrum, Sr. was born September 1, 1950, in Dallas, Texas, to the parentage of J.W. and Eunice Langrum. He graduated from L.G. Pinkston in 1968. Paul, as he was known to most, accepted Christ as his savior at a young age. He was a faithful and dedicated member of The Ark Church in Dallas. Paul was a faithful employee with the City of Dallas Water Utilities Department, where he retired after 30 years of service in 2001. After retirement, Paul spent his time volunteering for several entities including churches and retirement centers. He was dedicated to never working a 9 to 5 job again because his remaining service was for the Lord only - and to the Lord he shall return. As promised, he returned to his spiritual father on February 9, 2013. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Hodges "Jimbo"; and children, Kimana Langrum and David Hurd. A dedicated father, he leaves his children to cherish precious memories, Joseph, Juanita, Tammie, Demitri, Harold, Melanya, Karen, David, William II, Derrick, Sr. and Traqueva. He also leaves his grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, Bakari, J'Quikshia, Ashley, Ashontis, Zaria, Derrick II, Jacquez, Mia, Gabriel, Amirah and William III; siblings, Rickey, Shirley (Ardis), and Shelia; special aunts, Velma Russell and Dorothy (MeMe) McCoy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
