Gladys Virginia Watson

Gladys Virginia Watson BRISTOL, Tenn. Gladys Virginia Watson, age 79, of 305 Hemlock Rd., formerly of Denton Valley Rd., passed away Oct. 23, 2009, at Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol Tennessee. She was born on July 24, 1930, to the late Conley R. and Hazel B. Potter. She was a member of South Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence S. Watson; her youngest daughter, Dora J. Watson; great-grandson, D.J. Watson; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Watson. Survivors include daughter, Pansy "Pam" Maye and husband the Rev. Paul Maye; son, Denver "Bo" Watson; six granddaughters; one grandson; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, at 4 p.m. at South Chapel Church with the Rev. Jerry Fritz and the Rev. Michael Norris officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. prior to the service at the church. The burial will follow in Potter's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be great-grandsons. Honorary pallbearer will be Gary Conley. The family would like express the special thanks to the nurses and staff of Wellmont Hospice House for their loving care, prayers and support.
