Richland, Washington - Marilyn Sue Hansen was born to Hattie Eileen and Edward Britt Perkins in Pasco, Washington. She was the seventh of eight siblings. She married the love of her life, Leonard Hansen Jr. in 1970 and together they had a daughter, Tami Weber, and two granddaughters, Jessica Wisse and Whitney Weber.
She and Leonard had a full life together, making memories on camping trips, spending time with family, and riding horses and motorcycles. They were married for 39 years until Leonard's passing in 2009. She was known for her selfless love, silly sense of humor, and unbelievable work ethic and determination.
She accomplished anything she set her mind to, letting nothing stand in her way. The majority of her career was spent at the Ford dealership, where she worked in 10 different departments over the course of 31 years. She made her way up to fleet sales manager, consistently out selling many other salesmen in the state. Being the only female saleswoman at the dealership brought its challenges, but she earned herself a reputation as being successful and well-respected.
She spent her retirement working on projects, gardening, spending time with family and friends by her pool, and taking up new hobbies, including square dancing.
She will be missed by many, including her family who she loved just as they were.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hattie and Ed Perkins, her husband, Leonard Hansen, and her oldest sister Sharon Deen.
She is survived by her siblings Jim, Don, Ron, Tom, and Joe Perkins, and Margie Ricks; her daughter and son-in-law Tami and Mark Weber, her granddaughter and grandson-in-law Jessica and Travis Wisse, and her granddaughter, Whitney Weber.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, May 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at the Bend in the River Venue, 113618 N Harrington Rd, West Richland, WA 99353.
