Wilma Vincent Obituary

Wilma Vincent, of Manchester, a widely known award-winning artist, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, at her home at the age of 74. Her paintings have been exhibited at numerous art shows locally and in several states and are in the collections of homes and businesses throughout the area. Dozens of her limited-edition prints are available through internet art galleries. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home in Shelbyville with Bill Doak officiating. Burial will follow in the Fosterville Cemetery in Rutherford County. Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug, 29, at the funeral home. Born Jan. 10, 1943, in Bedford County, she was the daughter of the late Ed Bragg and Wilma Crosslin Bragg. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James Vincent, of Manchester; children, Jay Vincent, of Hillsboro, Leigh Ann Wilhoite, of Tullahoma, Kelly Lawson, of Tullahoma and Daniel Trail, of Manchester; and seven grandchildren. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
