Dr. wolf was one of our clinical instructors in medical school. He was a great teacher and was a prankster, often getting patient participation to pull a good-hearted joke on a student. Once, he had us over and over try to visualize the retina of a man with a fake glass eye! One night on the way to the hospital he saw a man laying in the gutter in a down -pour rainstorm. He stopped, pulled the man into the back seat of his car, I think it was a Cadillac convertible, and brought him to the hospital. As a student he demonstrated to us so much compassion and empathy for his patients, that his legacy will be present for generations. From all of the students that he mentored, thank you and God bless.

I’m not sure what caused Dr. Wolfs name to pop into my head, but it did suddenly, this afternoon moments ago. I had not heard his name or frankly thought of him in years. I did a quick search and just learned of his recent passing. I’m so sorry for your loss.
Dr. Wolf delivered me on January 16, 1969 in Collinsville. Growing up in Bartlesville, I remember at a young age asking my parents why I was born in Collinsville and was told , “That’s where Dr Wolf was”. He was also my pediatrician for many years. I remember being terrified to get a shot once when I was very little and I was kicking and trying to fight off the nurse. He picked me up and put his face right up to mine and told me in no uncertain terms that I needed to quit acting the way I was acting. And I did.
Thoughts and prayers for your family. He was one of a kind.

I sit here with tears in my eyes. I literally do not remember a time without Rudy in the world. I knew him my entire life, as a neighbor, family friend, Doctor. He was such a unique individual, a true one of a kind. Kim, Chris and all he loved, you all are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Love to all.
