I'm so saddened to learn about Catherine. Catherine and I worked together at Viking Collection Service back in the mid to late nineties. I was a farm kid who had just graduated college and moved to the big city and she was one of the first people I really got to know. Catherine was a riot, always ready to tell a quick joke or share a laugh about something completely silly, which meant she quickly became my best friend at Viking. I loved her sense of humor. In fact, I'm sure there are a couple jokes I still tell to this day that I would have to give credit to Catherine for telling me first. I don't know if she'd remember me, but I had the pleasure of meeting her sister Teresa on a few occasions when she'd come to have lunch with Catherine in the building where we worked. Over the years, Catherine and I had touched base a few times and it was always good to hear her voice and catch up on how things were going. At one time, she was considering adopting and she had reached out to me for advice, because she knew my oldest son is adopted. Sadly, it has been several years now since the last time we spoke, yet I thought of her often. I wish I had tried to reach out to her when I thought of her a couple months ago. I just want to extend my deepest sympathies to Teresa and the rest of her family. I regret that I will not get to speak to my friend again until we are all reunited someday. She was a good soul, and I will miss her very much. Peace to the Thommes family.

I am so sorry to learn of Catherine's passing. I was her advisor and field experience coordinator at Adler Graduate School. She was a great addition to the field and will be missed by her peers and colleagues.
