We were all part of a three-family (Holmes’, Aakhus’ and the Johnsons) Fish lake summer retreat during our childhood years. So much fun with swimming, skiing, fishing; walking to the Pink Store; having bonfires with singing and eating s’mores; eating Barbs homemade donuts!!!! So many cool memories!!
I will always remember Harold with his big, beautiful smile and his warm, calm demeanor.
He seemed to me to be the dad that I wished I could have. He will always be remembered fondly.
Peaceful thoughts to all your family!!❤

Harold was a cousin to me. We both grew up in Birch Creek Township. Harold was such a kind and caring and gentle person. He would always come and talk with my mother Mildred. I went to school with his brother Lee and sister Judy. May he rest in peace.

Harold was one of the best men I've every met. He was a caring man who will be missed by many. I am thankful my family and I had the privilege of knowing him. He had many adventures in life and loved to tell the stories. Thanks for the memories Harold. RIP!

We send our deepest sympathy to the Johnson family. Harold will always hold a special place in my childhood memories. He taught me to waterski and was always so kind to me and my family at the cabin. Harold would always ask if I wanted to ski or to ride the mini bike or come over and swim. He is part of my best memories. He made a mark on my life. Such a kind caring sharing man. Sending you all hugs. With love, Amy Bolduan (Diethelm)
