John H. Wodele

Wodele, John H. - Age 88 Of Wabasha, MN Died July 28, 2003 at St. Elizabeth's Health Care Center in Wabasha. He was born April 30, 1915 in Wabasha. He married Vivian Olson February 26, 1946 in Wabasha. She died August 15, 2001. He was the owner/operator of the Wabasha Transfer Company from 1947 until his retirement in 1983. As part of the business he was the wholesaler for the Theo Hamm Brewing Co. for southeastern Minnesota and he was also the dray line agent for Murphy Motor Freight Line of St. Paul. Survived by children, Sharon (Bob) Hoeft, Simpsonville, SC, John Wodele, Jr. (Susan Gaertner), White Bear Lake, David (Jeani) Wodele, Wabasha, Kathy (Jim) Schurhammer, Kellogg, MN, Richard (Tammy) Wodele, Wabasha, Robert (Jill) Wodele, Reads Landing, MN; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nine sisters; nieces and nephews. Preceded by wife, Vivian, daughter, Jill Wodele Cerise, four brothers and four sisters.Funeral Mass Thursday, July 31, 2003 at 11:00am at St. Felix Catholic Church in Wabasha. Interment in St. Felix Cemetery. Visitation at Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha Wednesday 5-8pm and at church Thursday one hour before the service.
