SERVICES: Calling hours will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm Street, corner of North Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Road, Bedford. Committal prayers will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald Street, Bedford. To leave a message of condolence please go to www.lambertfuneralhome.com.

As I arrived at the funeral home today to pay my respects, I witnessed something truly heartwarming. Traffic which required a police presence and a line in which hundreds of people who loved you and your family waited. What a testament to the beautiful child who touched so any people's lives, that was Emma. To the Beckett's may God Bless you and give you strength in this extremely difficult time and may Emma be the shining star she was here in her new home in heaven.

I last saw Emma when she was 5 years old. Since then she has grown into a remarkable and beautiful young lady. Her "Can Do" spirit is and will remain an inspiration to many. I am a friend and co-worker of Dan Nolting and had the pleasure of meeting Chuck and Karen (Emma's Grandparents) on an Alaskan cruise in 2008. I never really knew Emma but I worked with her in The Alice in Wonderland play at Lurgio middle school. Whenever I saw her whether it was backstage or onstage, she always had a upbeat and positive attitude. There is a hole in my heart where another little sister should be. The admiration I have for Emma constantly grows. I have always been inspired by her love for life, and have never seen a closer friendship than that of Emma and Brianna's. Whenever Brianna was struggling, Emma was there for her (quite literally, at our door, singing loudly for all to hear :) ) When I couldn't cheer up Brianna, Emma could. Her illness never shadowed her ability to warm the hearts of those around her, and I cherish all of the moments we spent baking, playing dress up and surviving constant snowstorms with mini pancakes, puzzles and video games. She always whooped my butt at Mario cart, and never hesitated to assure me that "maybe next round you'll do better" even though we both know that it's not true. What a blessing Emma is. To have lead such a full life, I love her so much, if I haven't said it enough, she is my sister. I'm not sure you know how happy I was to see
her on the night of prom. I was so excited she could come, and that she cared to see us off, even when she
wasn't feeling to confident in her pjs (which she rocked in every sense of the word) She has a heart big enough to hold the world, and other peoples happiness was her own as well. I loved having a little
model around. Always willing to strike a pose or act in a home video filmed by the shaky hand of yours truly. She overflows with confidence unlike anyone I know, and I love to have a counterpart to my hobby. Without her I would have had Brianna rolling her eyes at the camera, but when she was around Brianna lost her battle with annoyance and fell into fits of giggles. She most definitely taught me more than I taught her. I know that life will always be too short to take so seriously. Life is too short not to spontaneously buy two pounds of
Lindt chocolate or watch stupid tv shows with your closest friends or spin in circles to watch your flowing dress swirl around you.I'm so lucky to have had a sister like Emma.

I could write pages upon pages about Emma. She was a light to my world, and so many others. I always admired her beautiful heart, strong and courageous will, and purpose to put others before herself no matter the circumstances. She had so many talents, including making others smile in the darkest of days. I never thought that I would be attending my best friends funeral before our lives were just beginning. We always dreamt of the extravagant adventures we would go on, the life scenarios that we would go through together, and the accomplishments that we would make. When I heard that Emma had passed I was completely speechless. She always had a smile on her face and knew how to make others also have smiles on their faces. I knew Emma through "Seussical the Musical" in 6th grade. She was always ready for more fun at each rehearsal. I wish I could've been closer with Emma. I will miss Emma so much. She was a fixture at The Palace, it won't be the same without her there. Once, when I had messed up on one of my scenes she was right there to make me feel better. She had me laughing so hard that I forgot about my mistake. At an audition for which I was especially nervous, she boosted my confidence and helped me do a good job.
