Sandra Trozzi Obituary

Sandra A.
Trozzi
UTICA, NY
Miss Sandra A. Trozzi, 60, passed away after a valiant battle with cancer on Thursday, August 6, 2015. Sandra was born in Utica on October 12, 1954, a daughter of Arthur S. and Ann (Villelo) Trozzi. She was educated in local schools and a graduate of TR Proctor High School. Sandra continued her education at Maria Regina College in Syracuse, where she received an Associates Degree in Secretarial Studies, and later attended MVCC. Sandra was employed at the Savings Bank of Utica, for thirty years, in various departments with her final position in accounting. Following this, Sandy worked in the Utica City School District, in accounting, for six years until her retirement in 2014. Sandy enjoyed her home, especially her pool out back. She loved being physically active, and was always on the move. In younger years, she loved to travel and did so extensively. Her happiest times were spent with family and friends, with whom she shared many hours visiting and laughing. She was a very loving and caring daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. Sandy always helped her loved ones and wanted the best for them. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was a very spiritual person who had a deep faith in God. She is survived by her beloved mother, Ann; her siblings and their spouses, Arthur, Jr., and Kathy Trozzi, Carl Trozzi and Ann Grates, Mario and Kim Trozzi, and Grace and Tom Decker; her aunts and uncles, Tom and Grace DeCrescenzo and Frank and Marie Wojnas; many beloved nieces; nephews; a great-niece; a great-nephew; many special cousins; and many lifelong friends. She was predeceased by her dad, Arthur S. Trozzi, Sr., and her infant sister, Mary Ann Trozzi. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 12 Noon at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish. Private entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum. There are no calling hours. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of mass. The family would like to thank Dr. Butala and his office staff, as well as the staff on the 6th floor at St. Luke's Hospital, for their care and compassion during Sandy's illness. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity. Envelopes will be available at church. Online Memorials at: MattFuneralHome.com

The Trozzi family was always like my second family when growing up. There is some distance between us now but their example as a family and friends keeps them close in our hearts. Sandy was a great lady. The enitre Fiesthumel family and specifically my family here in Colorado hope that the our friends and 2nd family in Utica focus on the many positive memories of Sandy.

So very sorry to hear of your loss. I worked and met Sandy 40 years ago at the bank. She even attended my wedding.Just loved her spirit. She was so much fun to work with. What a special person. Lost touch over the years but often thought with fondness of my first full time job and how comfortable she made me there. She actually trained me. I know how much she loved her family,we once met for some activity at the family home. Her Mom was so inviting. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Sheila(Burrows)Mursch
