Jeanne Comesotti Obituary

Published by Vancouver Sun and/or The Province from Mar. 24 to Mar. 27, 2017.
Jeanne Comesotti - Jeanne Comesotti, née Gagnon, loved by her family with all their hearts, has died unexpectedly. Jeanne had rare warmth and sparkling intelligence: she was a clear thinker who appreciated all things witty, loved a clever gadget and could never resist a pun. She never met a green candy she didn't like. Jeanne loved the mountains and knew and appreciated every corner of Vancouver. She was an athlete: a wicked badminton player who seldom stooped to smash, and a great team player in every aspect of her life. Jeanne's defining feature was her smile, brilliant and warm, thoughtful, loving, and full of fun. Jeanne was a great and loyal friend, generous and giving. She loved her family unconditionally and without limit, and she never failed to remind us all to be good to each other. We loved her completely. Jeanne's Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, March 28 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Apostle 5457 Trafalgar Street and 39th Avenue, Vancouver. Reception to follow.

So very sad to hear of this news. Still shocked, but also thinking of how lucky I was to have met her and the Comesotti family. She literally changed the direction of my life, taught me things to live by and was the most caring, loving, patient, intelligent mother figure to me. She even taught me how to cook. She always made room to love more and I can't express how sad I am for everyone who will miss her deeply.

Love your way to you Leo & your family...What can one say? She was beautiful in every way...her compassion, that twinkle! I only knew her as a young girl, but boy, she made a such an impression...remembering her voice, kindness, her wardrobe even ...but most of all... the aura & comfort she gave to the moment & likely every moment... for the rest of her life. Take care...

We're all still in shock Leo at this sudden loss of such a remarkable wonderful woman who so touched the hearts of everyone she met. We will cherish the memory of you and Jeanne dancing the night away at our son's wedding not so very long ago. All the Camozzi/Teehan family sends their love and will be there in spirit with you tomorrow at Jeanne's mass. You already know how much we love you. Take care. Lenore and Michael xo

Dear Leo and family,
We met Jeanne at our daughter's wedding in Squamish and thought she was wonderful. We had the privilege of seeing both in France later on. We feel great sadness at the news, but cherish the memory of a wonderful person who lived life to the full. Sally & Colin from France.

I am shocked to learn of Jeanne's untimely passing. She was so full of life, and gave so much of herself to others that we imagined she would always be there! Her unwavering love of family and friends, her jest for life, and immense humanity was a beacon for us all. We will miss her.
