An amazing endodontist who gave me my first root canal when I was close to grade 8.
He was so gentle and precise that I never forgot the first experience. I had many more root canal treatments done by others, but no one compared to Dr. Weinstein as he was the best. So sorry to hear of his passing . And much later, I would see him in the drugstore that I worked at . ( Oak & 41st) Dr. Weinstein was a good man, a good endodontist, a good all round person.

I knew Fred and his 3 wonderful children from the 70's. He was highly respected as an endodontist, parent and friend to many. My heartfelt sympathy for his family, and especially to Roxanne, Mathew and Jason. He will be missed.

Good Morning Dr Weinstein's office - Sandra speaking - I worked with Fred in the Fairmont Building for 30 years - he employed me in 1970 after I emigrated from Scotland and the rest is history. I watched Roxanne, Matthew & Jason grow up & loved them all. Bill& I are in Palm Desert at the moment & only heard the sad news yesterday. R.I.P. Fred . Love Sandra

Although I never met Fred and new him through his son Jason, I prayed for him every night. This was my way of comforting him during this difficult time. Now my prayer will be for the repose of his soul and knowing he is in the arms of his creator brings me comfort. R.I.P. Fred. You certainly accomplished much here on earth and did a wonderful job with your children.

It was a privilege to know Fred, enjoy his humour, and to see his joy in his family and his life.
A great fellow

Fred was a great influence on me throughout my career. He was a often the voice of reason and a breath of air in organised endodontics in Canada throughout his career. He was gentleman and will be missed.
