FAYKOSH, Joseph
September 17, 1922 - January 4, 2018
With deep sorrow and heavy hearts we announce that Joseph Faykosh of Surrey passed away peacefully at the age of 95, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Plavecke Podhradie, Slovakia. Joe was a veteran of World War II and immigrated to Canada in 1949. Joe is survived by his devoted wife Mary, son David (Stacey), daughters Marian and Vivian (Scott), six grandchildren and one great-grandson. Also survived by his brother Emil in Bratislava, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Prayers will be held on Tuesday January 16, 6:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 20676 Fraser Highway, Langley, where the mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 17 at 9:30 a.m., with reception in the church hall immediately after mass. Interment to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 14644 72 Ave Surrey, BC, at 1 p.m. Our grateful thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Evergreen Baptist Care in White Rock. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
