With heavy hearts we share the sudden passing of our beloved Bimla Chatterjee. Bimla will be deeply missed and always remembered by her darling husband Sudeep; loving children: Kush and Rishi; parents: Soma (mother) and Ramlal (father); brothers: Sanjiv, Lalit and Rajiv; sisters: Kamla, Rajni and Sweety. Bimla will now be reunited with her mother-in-law (Deepali), father-in-law (Lokesh). Despite having passed too soon, she had an incredibly happy, fulfilling and accomplished life! Bimla touched so many lives with her contagious smile, genuine compassion, caring nature, and gift of friendship. Bimla's dedicated service of 20 years for her Daycare Love-N- Care nurtured many children through mutual love. In her first job, Bimla worked for Air India as a Flight Attendant for 13 years, where she was featured on the cover of Namaskar. Bimla will never be forgotten, as she will always be carried in the hearts of her loved ones. Her legacy of a zest for life, "putting others first" nature, and her love of entertaining with fine food and great friends will continue to live on through her husband and children. Heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff at Abbotsford Hospital, BC Cancer Agency, Langley Memorial Hospital and Langley Hospice for their loving care and compassion during her illness. A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home in Surrey followed by a private cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 12 at the family home at 6:00 p.m. We invite friends and family to remember and pay tribute to Bimla anytime between 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to BC Cancer Agency may be considered.
