Joyce Fischer Obituary

Joyce Olivia Fischer

Simi Valley, CA

Joyce Olivia [Leonard] Fischer, b 12 Mar 1939, succumbed to complications from Interstitial Lung Disease on 5 Jan 2016. Elegant, beautiful, fun-loving wife of William, loving mother to Michael, Douglas, Eric, and Pattiann, you were The Hostess-with-the-Mostest, chef extraordinaire, artist, designer, seamstress, dancer, needle crafter, devoted daughter of William and Helen and sister to Barry, William, and Theodora, grandmother to Andrea, Billy, Breanna, Brittany, Ciara, and Mia, who lived every moment of life with zeal, grace, and determination.

Asked what she wanted said about her, she answered, "Tell them I had my sister paint my toenails pink when I was dying." How do you top that?

You leave behind a void, dear Joy, that will be impossible to fill. The angels who guide you are lucky because you will make them laugh, and you will see to it that they are dressed well. Love, love, love cherished Joycie.
