I still miss Norm. He was a good friend and a true gentleman, quiet and dignified. He had an artist´s soul and was one of the kindest humans I´ve ever met. See you on the other side, my sweet friend.

Just very sad and sorry to read about Norman Kirk. He was such a gentleman and an excellent painter. My love goes to Jo his wife who I knew thru Santa Paula. Lovingly Joni Egbert

What a beautiful, gentle and kind spirit and so very talented artist Norm was- it was so good to have met him at one of the Santa Paula art exhibits. May peace, strength and healing be with the family and friends of Norm. ❤

Norm Kirk was a dear friend to my husband and I for over 20 years. With his wife, Jo, we had some great times over those years. He is a great loss to all who knew this kind, talented and gentle man. We treasure every painting we have of Norm’s and we are truly blessed to have paintings he did of our dog and of our beach house among our collection. Rest In Peace dear and gentle friend. See you on the other side❤

We are deeply saddened to read of Norm's passing.
My wife - Lynn - took Norm's watercolor class from the mid-80's until he retired from Ventura College.
Norm was an incredible artist - as well as a very fine - professional instructor.
We are blessed to have one of his paintings hanging in our living room.
Thru the classes that Lynn took from Norm we became close friends of his & Jo's - and we fondly recall going to their wedding. We also have a fond memory of attending a show Norm had in an airplane hangar that he rented at the Santa Paula Airport that he converted to his unique art studio.
I never realized until reading his obituary that Norm & I shared our Norwegian heritage - Uff Da !
Our thots & prayers go out to Jo & the Kirk family.
May he rest in peace.

I have one of Norman's paintings, and was able to meet him at Fox Fine Jewelry in Ventura a couple of years ago. He was the nicest, most congenial men I have met in a very long time. He spent a considerable amount of his time at the "meet the artist" event to speak with me relative to his painting and just where he had taken the particular painting that I had brought to show him. It is a cherished object I have placed in a most visible part of my living room. I will remember this gentleman for many yearsto come. My condolences to his family and friends!
