Shaky Shields was a force....I'll never forget his voice, his bright eyes, his QUICK WIT, and his sincere love for all around him.....to live until 98 is remarkable and I would love to hear all the stories about this fine man......Thanks for teaching me how to drive, Mr. Shields....I'll never forget you threatening me that you were going to put an egg under the gas pedal when I drove....sorry, buddy......I'm still a lead foot! Rest in Paradise

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Shields. Shaky was one of my favorite persons that I have met in my lifetime. Always kind, courteous, funny, and charming he was loved by all who met and knew him.
My heart felt condolences to Cathy, Becky, Wendy and Scott, and the entire Shields family. The world seems a bit emptier as does my heart.

I remember so well when Mr. Shields came to our Exeter Union High School. He taught our driver's training class. Fond memories of Lion's Club events! He also never failed, long after I graduated, to sing ''Whatever Lola wants'' EVERY TIME I saw him. He was a fun loving teacher and friend. Rest in peace!
