Ofelia Casares Obituary
Tulare - Ofelia Ortiz Casares was born on January 20,1951in McAllen, TX and entered into eternal life on December 31,2020 in Visalia, CA.
She was born to Ruben Sr. and Aurora Ortiz. She moved to Tulare, CA in 1962, where she attended middle school and high school. She also attended College of the Sequoias where she received her AA Degree and Pacific Oaks University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Child Development. She had a love for learning.
She worked for the Tulare County Head Start Program for over 20 years. She loved working with and teaching children.
She loved spending time with family, friends and her little dogs. She also like to play Bingo and going to the casino. She will be truly missed and loved by all who knew her.
Ofelia is survived by her daughter Angelita Casares-Saenz, son-in-law Jimmy Saenz, son Paul Casares III, and granddaughter Tiana Saenz. Along with her sisters: Aurora Jasso, Sylvia (Jose) Orozco, and Janie (Lucio Jr.) Gomez along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Ofelia is preceded in death by her parents Ruben Sr. and Aurora Ortiz, sister Angie Garcia, and brother Ruben Ortiz Jr.
We will be celebrating Ofelia's life on her birthday Wednesday January 20, 2021. The Rosary will be held at 12:30 pm at Peers-Lorentzen Funeral Chapel at 132 W. Kern Ave., Tulare, CA followed by a mass at 1:30 pm at St. Rita's Catholic Church at 954 South O St., Tulare, CA.
We would like to thank all those who cared for my mom during her last days. You were all truly a blessing to us. Thank you!!

My Love and Sympathy goes out to my cousin´s family. Ofelia was very special to me and the rest of our cousins and extended family members. Ofelia stayed with our family when we lived in McAllen, I will never forget her. My love to all and may God Bless your Family. With Love Barbara! .
