Norman Lawrence Olsen

OLSEN, NORMAN LAWRENCE; age 82; of Troy and formerly of Harsens Island and Croswell; died Sunday, June 23, 2013 at his home. He was born August 10, 1930, in Gaastra, the son of Wilburn and Margaret (Rullcoski) Olsen. In 1950 he married Gertrude "Trudy" Sampson. Mr. Olsen was a builder and owner of Olsen Construction. He is survived by his wife, Trudy; two daughters, Gayle Olsen of New Baltimore and Karen (Dennis) Setter of Troy; five grandchildren, Shana (Jeremy) Parent of Troy, Kyle (Keri) Murphy of Macomb, Elizabeth (Greg) Doppke of Ira Township, Tracy Murphy of Atlanta, GA, and Matthew (Krystle) Ritzert of Virginia; three great grandchildren; and two siblings, Sue (Robert) Richard of Wisconsin and Robert (Lucina) Olsen of Colorado. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Olsen, of Gaastra. Private Services were held Wednesday, June 25, 2013 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Burial was in Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester Hills.
