It's hard to believe it's been six years already. I can still hear him when he would call me up talking about the Wizards or the Skins. Lindy your always in our thoughts and prayers. Cliff, Sue and Kyle

My memories of Uncle Lindy are few, but very fond. I remember him bringing me gifts as a child and even at that young age, I felt such a connection to him. Perhaps it was our mutual love of reading, or his sense of humor that brought me comfort when I thought of him. I will forever regret not visiting him in recent years, but cherish the letters I received from him in which we discussed our love of music. I miss you more than words can explain, Uncle Lindy.

Lindy was a character I recall from my younger days and I remember him fondly. He knew me, my brother Ben and my brother Kelley. I remembered MANY days playing basketball at Maury Elementary...he was usually scoring while I struggling. He was also in the one and only car wreck I have ever had and I was always sorry about that. All our best to his family.

I remember Lindy loping through the newsroom of The Washington Star and using that same physical grace to penetrate defenses on the basketball court. He was a good dude. May he rest in peace.

My best friend at the Star. I'd always wondered what happened to him, and really hoped we'd meet again. This is sad news indeed.

Lindy worked for me as a carpenter and project mgr. What a smart man. He was also a basketball expert. And loved the Md basketball team. Will miss him.
