Warm condolences to Daniels family. "The sacrifices pleasing to God are a broken spirit; A heart broken and crushed, O God, you will not reject."

I wanted to send condolences from the Northern VA area. The ODFC soccer family extends our thoughts and prayers to you and family.
It was great to have you as a teammate and it was even better to see you and the others (Jason, and Ryan) take over the team awhile back. Although ODFC was purely for fun and deemed bush league soccer by many, the team and the relationships forged meant much more. As one of the 2nd generation team stewards/managers (The team was passed down to me in 2002 from my boss at the time); it took several years to find a third group of leaders to keep the team going. Upon my retirement I could not have felt better passing that torch of a being team steward/manager to better group.
RIP and do know we will be thinking of you this Saturday. We all were lucky to have had you in our lives as a friend and teammate. Rest well my friend.
Sincerely,
Nick Miranda

Dearest Daniel,
I have always thought of you as having a golden spirit -- a person who gives contagious, positive energy to everything and everyone around.
So many memories that I will treasure forever. The first time I saw you was in your mother's arms all snuggled up -- your mom had the biggest bouquet of red roses that I have ever seen: 1 dozen for every pound of you. I remember your mischievous laughter as I am chasing you towards the "forbidden" beach at your first home Gig Harbor "This is one fast 1-year old"- your athletic ability was already making itself known.
Six months later I visit you in Arizona where you so show off your baby brother CJ. You were so proud!
At 2 and a half you walked down the aisle at my wedding as the most handsome ring bearer ever, dressed in a little man tuxedo - it was a perfect performance. There was a bribe involved: gummy frogs...
I visited in Hawaii where you and your siblings humored me as good hosts would and played shark attack at Waikiki. So much fun!
When you started to play soccer for University of Washington, Mark's old team we could not have been more excited and proud. We would get to come and watch your games and you would put up with us cheering from the stands come and watch your games and you would always come over and talk to us afterwards -- my favorite part.
Dearest Daniel, know that you are so loved and missed and I know that all of us are better people for having known you. What a privilege to have been part of your life. Your gift of positive energy will live on forever in all of us and touch others for generations. I love you Daniel. I will see you in heaven.

We are saddened to hear about Daniel's passing. Our sons played soccer with him on the Hydras HYSA team. We knew he would do great things in his life and he did. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Aloha from Dayle and Alan Olmos

I am so sorry to hear about Daniel's passing. Daniel was a member of our HYSA team here in Hawaii. He was younger than the rest of the boys but was a great player and fit right in. Obviously, Daniel lived life to the fullest and had a positive impact on all those he interacted with. Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss.
