BRIAN BREGMAN
On Wednesday, February 3, 2021, beloved son of Dr. Susan Bregman and the late Ralph Bregman; brother of Jason Ben-Ari Bregman (Kathryn); uncle of Maya Claire Bregman. Brian was an attorney, an investigator with the Maryland State Medical Examiner's Office, a volunteer with the Metropolitan Police Department for 16 years, and for over two decades volunteered for a multiple of Prince George's County Fire Departments. He was dedicated to his work, being a mentor to many, he was highly regarded and loved by the community and his family. He was a world traveler that visited dozens of countries and every continent. He loved his work, music and most of all his many close friendships. Due to pandemic restrictions a brief ceremony will be held on Monday, February 8 at 2 p.m., in the parking lot of Borgwardt Funeral Home, 4400 Powder Mill Road, Beltsville, Maryland 20705 after a Greenbelt City Volunteer Fire Department procession. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to So Others Might Eat www.some.org or the Greenbelt City Volunteer Fire Department.

Friend, two years have passed and it feels like we were chatting and laughing it up together just yesterday. You are missed and thanks for watching over us from up above.

Still in shock. My cousin I saw over the holidays every year gone, just like that. Rip cousin. Love and condolences.

Praying for Brian and his family. Brian was my friend and colleague. My most memorable moment with Brian was driving together to the mid-2015 Neil Young concert in New Jersey. The time flew by during our ride as we got to know each other better and bantered back and forth.

The outpouring of high regard for Brian on lawyer listservs and at his February 8 memorial makes clear how much his memory will live on.

Brian was exceptionally kind. He was always willing to help others. He was humorous and just had a way of making people feel like they were his best friend. He was also a brilliant mind and great attorney. I will remember him as the genuinely good-hearted person that he was. I'm so saddened by his passing. May his soul rest in peace. I extend my deepest condolences to his family and loved ones, you are in my prayers.

There will not be a single day that I am not reminded of Brian and this sudden loss. The world in so many ways will never be the same. Brian was a force of nature and I will do my best to honor him with the way that I live my life.

Brian was my attorney and friend. A caring and dedicated man that this world is certainly going to miss. Heartbreaking. I never got the chance to thank you for all you’ve done.

I first met Brian when he was a student at the Univ. of Md. School of Law. He impressed me from the start. As he built his firm we would check in now and then and I recall how proud he was of building his business. I met him when I guest lectured for a class. Years later, I recall calling Brian up for advice in dealing with an administrative hearing. I am so sorry that his bright light has been put out on this earth. He lived a life of service and made the world better while he was in it. My profound condolences to his entire family and all that knew him.

They are not enough words in this world to describe Brian. Brian was not only a friend, but a brother to me. He was loved by my family in Haiti. I will missed you buddy. I know your soul is with God and I am honored to have met you.

Brian-

I am still in disbelief. I recall how we argued against each other profusely as we had opposing roles and responsibilities. I laugh about how you put the heat on me in multiple hour depositions and how we had deep respect for each other and knew “it was only business and not personal.” Over time we became good friends and I thank you for your sound counsel and personal attention. Brian I was just talking to my wife on Feb 1st saying I needed to reach out to just say hello then I was notified by the FOP Chairman that this very unfortunate situation occurred. Friend I will miss you! But I know you will be watching out for us from up above.

Your friend,
Jose Conejo

One argument in 7 years. You don't get freindships like that everyday. I'll miss you, but I know you'd just not even look up from your busywork, and mutter "You'll be a'right!"
