ALBERT NELLUM Obituary
ALBERT L. NELLUM
Peacefully on March 1, 2014. Loving father of Rebecca Williams (Rodney), Daniel Nellum (Michelle) and Brian Stewart (Michelle). He is also survived by sister Margie Lee, former wife Judith Rolston Nellum, eight grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Velma Nellum and brother Dan Nellum. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 4 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 1419 V Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Memory Disorders Program, checks made out to Georgetown University, sent Attn: Carolyn Ward, GUMC Dept. of Neurology, Building D, Suite 177, 4000 Reservoir Rd., NW, Washington, DC 20057.

I remember Mr. Nellum not only as a fair, impartial, innovative and dedicated employer, but also as a kind, giving and caring individual.

I worked for A.L. Nellum & Associates back in the 1970s when it was located at 1025 Connecticut Ave, N.W. (yes a long time ago). The one thing I will always remember is when Al (referred to back then as Mr. Nellum) called me in the office because Olga was out at lunch and I was sitting at her desk, and asked me to get a phone number. Not having a pad of paper to write down the person's name (I did have a pen in hand), I just wrote the name etc. on my palm. I did complete the task, but later Olga and I had a belly laugh over my experience of sitting at her desk. It was a wonderful place to work and I loved every minute.
