DAVID HOUSER Obituary


DAVID ALLEN HOUSER (Age 73)  
Of Silver Spring, MD., died peacefully on May 29, 2014 at The Washington Home and Hospice in NW DC after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the son of Admiral Harold A. Houser and Vera Allen Houser and is survived by his two sons by a former marriage, Morgan Alexander of Silver Spring, MD. and Samuel Bradford of Mt. Airy, MD. His brother Bradford and sister Noradee Haak predeceased him and their children and grandchildren are among his survivors. A longtime employee of Ferris Baker Watts Co., Allen Houser was a well known jazz trumpeter whose groups played throughout the Washington area for many years. A jazz memorial will be held in his honor in the fall.
