Jane, I think of you so often. I was privileged to chat with you as we did the barn work, and fed the horses, I bet your beloved Shay is up there in heaven, as is my Dakota now. Hopefully you get to ride Shay as often as you like. One thing is for sure: You will always be in my heart. Love, Sarah

I am saddened to learn of Jane’s passing, I knew her many years ago, in what seems many lifetimes ago. I remember how devoted she was to Adrienne. My condolences to her family.

Jane, this world has lost an angel, and heaven has gained one. I will miss you so much.
We enjoyed so many lovely times together: all the many years we rode horses together, and fed horses, and cleaned up after horses, and held horses for Aaron to trim their hooves!
And then there were those cold winters huddled in the tackroom with the heater and hot chocolate when it was too cold to ride.
And Chicken, the rooster, who spent some of his time riding on my head, or zipped in someone's winter coat. And Sally and Callie, those sweet dogs.
It was a delight to watch you with Shay - grooming, tacking up, and riding her. You two enjoyed such a strong bond together that I never will forget.
I learned so much from you at the barn, and I am so much wiser for having known you.

Adrienne and Steve, so very sorry to hear of Jane's passing. I have fond memories of you all when we first moved back to Virginia. Thinking of you all during this time.

Jane - my heart along with so many others' is broken! You made every riding time more special and fun. I feel so lucky to have known you - if only for a year and half. Lucky your family to have you all the time. May they find some comfort at this difficult time. Heels down my friend - I will always treasure knowing you.

So sad to see this news. I took classes with Jane in the early 80's; she was one of the kindest and funniest people I have known. Condolences to her family
