As a graduate of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, it was my honor to meet such an accomplished woman and to spend time with her when she wintered in Naples, FL. I know that Saint Mother Theodore Guerin welcomed her with open arms. Rest in peace dear Jean.

Jean was a delightful author, with whom I had the pleasure of working on her autobiography "Abroad for Her Country." She was also incredibly stoical in dealing with infirmities and generous to a fault in her philanthropy. She will be missed.

I fail at words to express how much you have meant in my life. Visiting us with stories of European adventures, preparing foods with exotic ingredients, inviting me to Honduras where you nurtured my exploration of the world, phone calls, letters, hugs and love. You were never too busy to talk with me, your cuz. Love and miss you so very much.
