Michael Scott Obituary
MICHAEL SCOTT October 11, 1930 ~ June 27, 2023
Of McLean, Virginia, died peacefully in his sleep. He grew up in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York with his late sister Julia (Scott) Maser and his parents Dorothy (Chandler) and Irvin Leslie Scott, all architectural graduates of Cornell University. Mr. Scott also received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University in 1952. He attended the University of Michigan law school from 1955 to 1958. Mr. Scott is survived by his three children from his first marriage, to the late Cynthia (Meredith) Scott: Elizabeth S. Metcalf of Sherwood, Oregon; Gregory, M. Scott of Marshall, Virginia; and Andrew. P. Scott of Chicago, Illinois; and by his six grandchildren. He is also survived by daughters of his second wife, Philo Rosenfeld; Kerry Liedquist, Clare Andonoff; and Shannon Tieman. He also is survived by his close and beloved companion during the final years of his life, Cappy Innes, also Cornell '52, of Dallas, Pennsylvania. Private services. The family is requesting that any memorial gifts in lieu of flowers be given to the McLean Community Players, 1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean, VA 22101 (http://www.mcleanplayers.org/MCP/Show.cfm?ShowID=Patrons).
