NORMAN RATHVON  
On Saturday September 8, 2012, Mr. Norman T. Rathvon, 91, of Thurmont. Husband of the late Margaret Kilroy Rathvon; son of the late Karl Rathvon and the late Marie Schubert Frobisher. Father of Kathryn (John) Dowling, Mary Newman , Karl (Betsy) Rathvon , Michael Rathvon and David (Lee) Rathvon. Grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a half-sister Dianys Reis and granddaughter Marion E. Dowling and a daughter-in-law Rebecca Rathvon. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street Thurmont on Wednesday September 12, 2012 and from 10 until 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish Center, 103 N. Church Street, Thurmont. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin in the church at 11 a.m. Interment will be private. Those desiring may make contributions to: The US Navy Memorial at www.navymemorial.org <http://www.navymemorial.org> ; The Chesapeake Bay Foundation at www.cbf.org <http://www.cbf.org> or to Our Lady of Mt.
