Ray Morrow Obituary



MORROW RAY MORROW Raymond L. Morrow II, 40, died in a car accident on August 19, 2008, near his home in Maricopa, Ariz. Memorial services were held in Maricopa, Arizona and Kansas City, Missouri, followed by a private burial service in Kansas City. Ray was born in St. Louis, Mo., on April 30, 1968, and was raised in Prairie Village, KS, Bettendorf, IA, and Alexandria, VA. Before moving to Arizona, Ray worked in Naples, FL, Guilford, CT., and Fairfax, VA. Ray is survived by his mother, Mary Morrow-Bax, and stepfather, Frank Bax, Alexandria, VA, and Lenexa, KS; brother, Daniel Morrow, Sun Valley, CA; his stepbrothers, David Bax and Steven Bax; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and countless dear friends. Ray was a 1986 graduate of Lake Braddock High School in Alexandria, Va., and a 1990 graduate of the University of Kansas. Ray was a professional realtor and co-owner of Fortuna Land & Realty and was instrumental in bringing commercial business to Maricopa. Contributions in Ray's memory may be made to the Ray Morrow Foundation, established to assist people in need in Maricopa. My heart goes out to you. Losing a child is so heartbreaking that you just pray to God that he will give you comfort and love to carry you through your lonely days and nights.

Mary, Frank and Danny--I am so very sorry for your loss. Ray was a wonderful guy with a big heart. I always remember him similing, and that is how I will remember him. I still have such nice memories of all of us at your wedding at my parents house so many years ago. I am sorry that we cannot get back to KC for Ray's services, but please know that you are in our prayers. May God bless you today, tomorrow and always.
