On July 26, 2005; Beloved historian, linguist, mnemonist, mentor, poet, shifted from priesthood studies, father of eight, inventor of holidays (including swap ideas day), teacher, librarian, egoless genius, punster, ISPE and Mensa organizer, brilliant mind & heart, friend to all. Sometimes known as Santa Clause. Born in Mobile, grew up in Cuba & Canada, master of several languages and inventor of the Minero language. Survived by beloved wife Grace Kay Birch; and grown children John, David, Mary, Joe, Eve and Daisy; and by seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many colleagues and friends. He joins daughter Rose, son Paul, parents, siblings & the rest, may they rest. He donated body to science & soul to the universe. Memorial mass, story-sharing & agape This Saturday, September 10, at 4 p.m. at Goodwin House East, 4800 Fillmore Ave. Alexandria, VA 22311 (in auditorium).
