Dr. Matory's Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Matory passing. She was my Doctor ever since she started at Dana Farber. She has operated on me three times, and helped me through some difficult decisions. She is a very compationte, caring Doctor. We would compare stories, of our children and family life. How they were doing birthdays etc. I always would look forward to my visits with Dr. Matory, she was always happy, and never rushed you in an out. You could tell she loved what she did, She took a genuine concern for her patients, as I know for the years she took care of me, you can't help but have love for her. She was truley a remarkable women, as a Doctor, a Mother, and a Wife. She loved all her hats that she wore. She will truly be missed.
Deepest Sympathy,
Pat McCarty

R. Kennedy and children, the Matory Family: Dr. Matory was my surgeon in 1999, she was always a comfort, any cancer patient is scared, and she was able to dispel my fears. We always talked about children, we had twins in common. Henry, Rachel, and Thaddeus, your mom was so proud of you and loved you so very much, remember her well as I will. Pat McCarty

Dr. Matory was my surgeon in February of 2000. I will never forget the care I received, our conversations about family, and the thoughtfulness of leaving a red rose at my bedside. I credit her with saving my life, and I am terribly saddened by her loss. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

My daughters credit her with saving my life and she will be in my heart forever. I always looked forward to our "follow-up" visits and sharing about our children. I know my life was touched when she came into it. I will miss her.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Yvedt. I had the opportunity to get to know Yvedt at a Springboard meeting in Boston last fall. This time spent together on various occasions allowed us to get acquainted. During this time I developed a great admiration for Yvedt's professional and personal qualities that made her an inspiration to all that got to know her. In spite of my emotions, I am glad I had the chance to interact with her, although so briefly, and I will never forget her. My prayers and sincere condolances are with her family.
