RUTH HELEN GAST (Age 70)
On Tuesday, October 23, 2018, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved daughter of the late Catherine Flynn and Frederick Andrew Gast. Loving sister of Mary (Donald) Dement, Frederick (Mary) Gast, Thomas Gast, Bernard Gast, Theodore (Dorothy) Gast and the late Martha Gast (late Ed) Hale. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, October 30, 2018, from 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew Apostle Church, 11600 Kemp Mill Rd., Silver Spring, MD, on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 10 a.m.. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Hello. My name is Jean Marie Bovello. I am Pam Stoltz's daughter. My mother was part of the Friendly Visitors and was assigned to Ruth decades ago and vusited her every week for decades. I went with her on occassion. Rith was so nice. My mother helped her decorate her Christmas tree every year. My mother passed in 2008, but Ruth kept in touch with me to see how me and my kids were doing. I first remember meeting her when I was in High School. She was so thoughtful and very chatty. It was nice catching up with her. I pray that the two of them have reconnected!!
