Mary was always ready with a warm smile, a friendly greeting, and cheerful conversation at the Daughters of the U.S. Army luncheons at Mount Vernon and the Fairfax, where I got to know her.
She is a lovely lady, who will be terribly missed by us all.

We are very sorry to hear of Mary's death. We had known her for many years. Our two daughters, Kathy and Mary Ellen, were at Fort Hunt High School at the same time.
We are out of town visiting our daughter in Syracuse, NY. We are sorry that we cannot come to the funeral.

Dear Ed, Catharine, Alice and Mary,
My heart aches for your loss.
I shall always remember Mary for her gentle southern manner and lovely smile. She was a lady of grace and style who was loved and admired by many.
Please know that you are all in my thoughts and that I extend to you my deepest sympathy for your great loss. Mary will be greatly missed.
