Mary F. Farrington

FARRINGTON MARY FRANCES FARRINGTON On Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Mount Vernon Hospital, Alexandria, Virginia. She was 80 years old. Born in San Francisco, California, she had been a resident of the Washington area for over 40 years, most recently residing at the Fairfax, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Farrington was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and a volunteer for the Salvation Army. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia and member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She was preceded in death by her parents, LTC and Mrs. Sam W. Anderson and brother LT James Anderson. She is survived by her husband, COL Edmond H. Farrington of Ft. Belvoir, Va; three daughters, Catharine Haukedahl, Alice Duke and Mary Taylor; and four grandchildren. The funeral service will be held on June 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, followed by burial at Arlington Cemetery.
