Surviving siblings are Mrs. Eleanor Percy of Watertown, NY, Mrs. Mary Malara of Siesta Key, FL and COL (USA, Ret.) Richard Dacey of Mason Neck, VA. General and Mrs. Dacey had lived in the Washington, DC area off and on for many years since 1959 due to military assignments, but settled in the area permanently in 1985. General Dacey was born in Watertown, NY on 15 May 1935, the son of Robert and Frances Dacey. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army in January 1959. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Norwich University in 1958, a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla in 1964, and an MBA in Procurement from the George Washington University in 1972; he was a graduate of the US Army Command and General Staff College and Army War College and numerous other professional military education programs. I worked with Bob while he was employed at SAIC. He always had a joke to tell us "Did you hear the one about....." and kept us laughing. Bob was a wonderful and special person. He will always be in my heart. Rosie and Family - my prayers and thoughts are with you.

I worked with Bob and Al Alm at SAIC in McLean, VA for several years. Bob always had time to lend a hand, and of course a joke. He was a consummate soldier and engineer, but family always came first. Our prayers are with you all, as we join you in celebrating a truly wonderful life.

I am John Huddleston, (NU Class of '57) orginally from Theresa, N.Y., now living in Alexandria Bay, N.Y.
Bob was my weekend co-pilot on trips to and from N.U./Watertown and on occasion his sister, Mary would catch a ride back to Potsdam. Our trips were always eventful and memoriable. My family also were friends of his Father at Empsalls. I am wishing you and the extended Dacey Family Strength and Peace in the days ahead.

It was a great pleasure to work with General Dacey at SAIC. He was a true definition of an officer and a gentleman and added value to everything and everyone he touched. My prayers are with his family as he rests with the Lord in his eternal home.

R.I.P. Mr. Dacey. I will remember your fascinating stories and corny jokes while while we sat on Dee's back porch shucking corn. I'm sorry I didn't have a chance to spend more time with you to hear more.
