My heartfelt prayers to all of Bob's family and friends. I met Bob in the 1970s at Christ House, while I was on the Search Retreat. Then we became close friends when he came to St. Catherine's in Ringwood. We played the guitar and sang in church, decorated, rollerskated, danced, talked, and always celebrated life! We maintained a special connection all through the years. He had so many gifts. Most especially, making everyone feel like they were his best friend! Bob, may you enjoy paradise where we'll all reunite one day!

My condolence to the family. Please know that God cares about you and is not far off from you during this time of great sadness. Acts 17:27

Bob was my dear friend and neighbor at Domain Place in Alexandria, VA. He was so open and warm and fun--we had many wonderful, intimate conversations that made me feel that we were true friends. He was also a remarkable artist and gardener--one of the benefits of living across the street was that I had the best view in the neighborhood: always beautiful landscaping and bright flowers to enjoy. I miss him already, and extend my heartfelt condolences to his family.

My heartfelt sympathy to Bob's family and friends at this very difficult time. I met Bob a couple of times and grew to like him enormously. He waged a fierce and noble battle against his cancer. He will be greatly missed you had the good fortune to have his shadow fall across their paths.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Bob's family at this sad and difficult time. I met Bob only twice, and spoke with him on the phone several more times, but I feel as if he was a very dear friend. He was such a good and kind man and a very real gift from God to my daughter, Melissa, to whom he was a mentor and true friend. I am sure that the their paths crossing on their respective journeys to God was Divine intervention. May he rest in peace.

I met Bob two years ago at the Head & Neck Cancer Support Group at VAHospCenter. I was struck by Bob's ability to speak to me both candidly and lovingly at the SAME time. He didn't mince words about what I should expect but cared deeply. Bob's art art is magnificent and breathtaking. One regret is that I never got him to show me where in my apartment one of his paintings can hang. I will miss you, Bob.. I feel lucky that you came into my life in MY time of need. Shalom, my friend.

Bob became important and helpful to me and some peers back in the mid-to-late 1980s in Washington, DC, as we struggled to grow from air-headed party boys into responsible adults. I'm glad he got to see that some of us made it. Thank you, Bob, we will love you forever.

I will always remember Bob's smile and warm welcoming ways. I knew him from Christ House, Lafayette, NJ. I remember singing, "This Little Light of Mine" with him in the backyard of a friend-in-common. Even though many years have passed, Bob's light has always shined in my mind's eye, and I am sure in the eyes of many others. He was one of God's blessings to me and many others.
