TERRY ROGER ADKINS  
Born on May 9, 1953 in Washington, DC, Terry Roger Adkins transitioned peacefully at his home in Brooklyn, New York on February 8, 2014.Terry was preceded in death by his father, the late Robert Adkins. Terry is survived by his wife, Teri Merele Williams-Adkins; son, Titus Adkins; daughter, Turiya Adkins; mother, Doris Adkins; brothers, Bruce and Jon Adkins; sisters, Debra Vereen and Karen Randolph; and a host of relatives. Terry grew up and attended St. Joseph School and Ascension Academy in Alexandria, Virginia. He completed his undergraduate studies in 1975 at Fisk University, Masters Degree in 1977 at Illinois State University, and Masters of Fine Art in 1979 at the University of Kentucky. Terry was an art professor at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Design. Terry's works are in collections at many museums in and outside the United States. Family and friends are invited to a memorial mass for Terry on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 6:30 p.m., St. Joseph Catholic Church, 711 North Columbus Street, Alexandria, Virginia.

I was saddened to learn of Terry's passing and I regret that I was unable to attend the memorial service. Though we were in diefferent grades at Ascension Academy, I remember him as a wonderful, friendly person. My deepest sympathies to his family
